The mission of Calvary House is to provide support to formerly deployed military men and women as they re-enter the community, as well as the families of deployed and returning soldiers by providing services that are consistently available, accessible, and responsive to the needs of individual service members, families, and groups seeking assistance. We will work within the community to contribute, facilitate, and promote awareness of the needs of our men and women in the armed services to the enrichment of all; and to provide high-quality, compassionate and comprehensive services to as many military personnel and their families as possible.
Calvary House was organized exclusively as a tax-exempt organization within the prescribed limits of §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code in 2008. Specifically, Calvary House provides support and assistance to active and inactive military personnel and their families throughout the U.S. We provide support to formerly deployed military men and women as they re-enter the community, as well as the families of deployed and returning soldiers; provide spiritual and charitable support; assist in career preparation, job search and/or educational opportunities; coordinate recreational activities for spouses and children of deployed soldiers; and raise funds and awareness to counter the mounting number of war veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, shell shock, combat fatigue, military sexual trauma, and other emotional conditions.
Approximately one in three homeless in the United States once wore a military uniform and did their part to to protect our country. There are a myriad of reasons why these men and women are currently without a home, but Calvary House is trying very hard to help diminish this ever expanding problem.
Some Veterans are homeless due to mental disabilities, physical limitations, shortages in affordable housing, or even the inability to secure Veteran benefits due to them.
Calvary House needs your help to mobilize and travel the country providing food and basic necessities to Vets, assist them in completing paperwork to secure rightful benefits, and finally, to connect RV donors with homeless veterans in need of housing.
Funds raised through Go Fund Me will be used to aid these deserving United States Veterans.
